m8, don't look at me like that. Look at all those other students in my cohort at ngo and sons you genius. Not me. I'd like to say I'm actually glad that I was influenced by ngo and sons because the staff are inspiring and they teach you the true meaning of life; no one else would know (in their perspective)
Have you interacted with every single one in your class or enough people to make that claim? Do you think most people at NGO & SONS are easily influenced?

I had Mai and he was a bad person. He knows that and is trying to fix it.

What is the true meaning of life? I would like to know ^_^

Okay fair enough. You could say birthdays are useful for kids (aged 0-12) because they need to have a happy childhood in order to have a happy future and for the elderly (60+) because they might never have the chance to, but those teenagers and adults should stop wasting their time, celebrating some stupid birthday because honestly what significance does it have to their life? Frickin hell. This is the time to be working, not enjoying your stupid life, seriously, no brainers need to think more outside the box (the idiots celebrating their birthdays who are teens and adults)

No christmas isn't exactly useless (well for me it is) because a majority of the population celebrate it and have a good time however your birthday is only celebrated by like 50 people or less (depends on how many people are actually willing to celebrate your birthday with you) and literally the rest of the population wouldn't celebrate your birthday because they don't know you so go fuck your birthday

Another thing which annoys the hell out of me about birthdays are "birthday wishes" (not talking about children or the elderly) are that individuals wish for all these stupid birthday wishes. Birthday wishes don't come true unless you work hard at them so what's the fucking point of wishing random crap if you don't bother to work hard? I wish to be wealthy. Too bad you're not going to be wealthy unless you work hard and earn the money. I wish to have a cute little baby. That baby ain't come until you work hard for it (don't think of it that way)

For fucks sake, what's with these individuals celebrating birthdays (expcet for kids and elderly).
Fact is, for the most part I was annoyed by the generalisation to 5+. That was so excessive.

Now, like I said, you will find that most people 25-60 don't celebrate birthdays anyhow. If they do then it's either
a) one off - could be even an employer saying go for it cause it's a weekend and there's no jobs to do for double time pay
b) kids are insistent on making their parents do it and it's the special cases e.g. multiple of 10 (but even then most adults shrug them off)
c) they're unemployed for a reason beyond their control but they have tiny amounts (e.g $2) from their own money they can use

I personally believe your argument is only valid for 13-24. Whilst I refute your views, I can actually see a proper justification for those cases.

Christmas being useless to you is your opinion, so long as like you said, it's not exactly useless cause there's other people in the world who care a lot for it.

The unique factor about birthdays is actually specifically that though - You celebrate with who you WANT to celebrate it with. Not a ton of strangers.
(This is why the type of party I DO despise is when they hold an 18th or something but end up inviting like 100 people or so and then they invite others they don't even know)

I always made birthday wishes only cause they were cute. But because I'm just twisted that way, I always made wishes about my academics lol... and yes I did study heaps after all so of course the point stands.

This guy is salty af cuz nobody celebrated his birthday
But seriously tf is wrong with this guy lol
What is wrong with celebrating you've lived another year? So you just want people to work, eat, sleep. Rinse repeat. There's more to life than just working. How about you stop being such a cunt to other people's values? Stop looking down on people, calling people "idiots", your elitism is getting toxic. You may not agree/share the same values as them, at least respect them. Honestly wishing is just a tradition, that's like telling people stop going to church to pray because jesus got no time for you. And why should a celebration's significance be measured by how many people give a fk about it. You celebrate it with the people you care about and have a good time, holy shit m8 i should not be explaining this to a 15/16 year old.

Tldr stop being a cunt and learn how to respect other people's values

//rant

It just annoys me, like how I said in the other thread asian music pisses me off. I have cousins who have this attitude to enjoy life beyond the limit and god, it drives me to that extent where I actually want to yell in their faces and tell them off
So it annoys you because other people have different music tastes, aight m9. And apparently when people have a g time, it's wrong

when life gives you lemons...
Don't make lemonade, make life take them back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these?! Demand to see life's manager, make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am?! I am the man, who's going to burn your house down! ...With the lemons! I am going to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN!

There are very few people I like/love in this world. I only like/love people if it makes me happy, me liking/loving you isn't going to make me any happier. Therefore, I hate you. Don't take it personally, that's just how I work.

Boo hoo! Children need to realise that they aren't special in this world. However, I want to note that I was just saying that I didn't understand why some people celebrated birthdays because I thought they were a waste of time. Some people disagree, and that's okay. Your life, your business. If celebrating birthdays makes you happy, fine. It doesn't make me happy so I don't celebrate it.
Children, if you tell them that they aren't special in the world, will all start crying together and before you know it we will live in a world of NOISE.

Without maturity you can't take that statement seriously. You are basically saying that children are forced into acting mature when their mindsets haven't even been given enough time to develop that.

Which is why whilst you don't want to celebrate it that's entirely your opinion, but your wording in forcing your ideals onto everyone else is something I am going to criticise without hesitation.

I honestly don't care if anyone celebrates it or not. You may think I'm weird because I hate birthdays and nonetheless I agree with you

This is my opinion of things and I have a reasoning to them. You may think differently and I'm happy to think of your opinions

I just don't like the fact that they celebrate their birthday as I consider it useless and there are more important things to do in life than celebrate a birthday (in my opinion)

I'll admit, I'm a hater, I'm not that type of person who lives on the bright side of the world and I just can't seem to respect other people's values. When I see ppl getting presents, I think, what a waste of time, it's just a normal day with nothing special. Physically and mentally you are a year older but don't feel a year older

For a variety of reasons I hate birthdays, as you have seen in this thread

The reason why it annoys me is because they're overdoing it and I just don't feel comfortable when they over do it

You may have different opinions to mine but I'm happy to hear it. Respecting other peoples values will take a while and I don't think I can respect their values

Sup guys, I have my 2U maths half-yearly tomorrow.:spzz:

Just wondering, for those who have/have done their 2U half-yearly for maths, what topics did they cover?
Our exam is Series/Sequences, Integration, Geom Applications of Calculus, Further Trig, and Applications of Calc to real world.
I'm just interested to see what order people are doing the topics in...
