But they're unhealthy as hell and get all sorts of health problems.

huskies are cute but oh god you have to be one committed mofo if you want to own one. they're such needy dogs. everyone i know who had a husky gave it away after the cute 'puppy' phase

I like mixes or mutts

But if I had to choose a specific breed it would be a border collie or australian shepherd. Not sure if I would ever get one though, so smart and energetic.

very healthy dogs. people that get pedigrees rarely ever anticipate the potential for them to run into nasty health problems later in life and get hit with hefty vet bills. much less common for that to happen to mutts
