So when I type this:

[noparse][/noparse]

It shows up as this:

Also another example:

[noparse][/noparse]

As:

It is happening frequently with my \frac{...}{...} tags.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a mistake in my coding?

Can you explain what you think the problem is?

When I got rid of \therefore in the second one, then it worked.

Not sure why but yeah don't worry I derped.

Should I just delete the thread?

I still don't understand your problem, it displays the same in other editors and looks right to me. (I never really use latex though)

Displays fine in IE and firefox here, can you take a screenshot?

Ok for some super odd reason, it decided to work for me again in Chrome. But its odd because I was showing the working out to another user and it just decided to stuff up like that. I asked the user and they said it wasn't working either. And now its working again.

I removed \therefore (before it was showing) then placed it after and it worked somehow even though my code is still the same.

Make another thread if it happens again and maybe include screenshots. It worked for me as soon as I opened this thread so I have no idea what the problem would be.

Oh wow. It took a while to work for me and I tried to remove something, but then added it again and it worked.

The exact same two equations above I put in a pm below and this happened:

It was confirmed that the recipient could not see the equations either and the error message popped up.

Another case:

[noparse][/noparse]

That above worked absolutely fine. Though I made a mistake in it where I should have changed the {x+1} to {x-2}.

When I changed the {x+1}:

[noparse][/noparse]'

The invalid equation error message popped up again.

The above error occurred.

Looks fine to me.

Looks fine to me.
But its odd.

It looks fine to me as well now.

Though in private messaging, it tends to be different for some reason.

As the screenshot I placed above, the two "invalid equations" error messages, are the two equations in my original post. And the recipient said that the equations also didn't show up on their end.

Usually those errors crop up if your code length is too long (provided the code isn't messed up in the first place)

I'll keep that in mind for next time. I have had codes that are practically 5 times longer than those (about 5 lines worth) and they have worked before.

The code's in those error messages are copied and pasted into my OP.

Happened again:

This is the code:

[noparse][/noparse]

The other person on the other end was using iexplorer.exe

So it shouldn't be the browser.

Both of us were using Windows of different type (XP and 7).

And I took a screenshot of this exact post to show you how it is on our ends.

Think I found the problem. The numerator/denominator in the fraction is too long. For example:

100/x works

but 1000/x doesn't

x/100 works

but x/1000 doesn't

Think the same issue lies with the text which seems to only accept one character:

't' works

but 'to' doesn't

Makes sense now!

Is it not working for you as well?

I don't remember the problem emerging before though. I used to have even more massive fractions than that like my OP.

So there is a very slight possibility that might not be the problem but for the time being I would say it is.

A bit odd. Might have to show Brent and see what can be done about it.

Wow. I had to re-edit that one a few times for it to work.

Maybe "copying and pasting" a code makes it invalid as it tries to stop you from copyright? Makes no sense though when starting from scratch.

Has this problem ever been diagnosed in the past few years?

Maybe it could have something to do with the recent v-bulletin update.

Do you think it would be worth it if I try laTex on some other v-bulletin forum (most likely steam forums lol)?

EDIT: Steam forums does not support laTex lol.
