I think the idea of parametric representation is pretty interesting, and I've always been curious about this.
Care to enlighten me?

Manufacturing companies that make pens for example, need to follow a 'set' of identical movements in order to re-create identical products.

But these 'set' of identical movements are determined by.... you named it! Parameters and their restrictions. Locus also comes into play here, and they are especially useful when it comes to engines where you can convert say circular motions into linear motions.

Parametric equations are used in calculating Projectile Motion, which by itself has a whole range of uses. They can help us define things respective to time much easier. Which would help I imagine in areas such as engineering
