Any white girls who are applying through UAC, put UNSW as your first preference. It doesn't matter which course but it would be best if you go for some sort of engineering field :)

Thank you for your co-operation.

How hard is psychology at USYD?
It's pretty hard from what i've read
You have to keep a distinction average or else you drop down to B.Arts or B.science and major in psychology

Yeah I'm definitely going to the open days since I missed them last year...

Maths/Arts **
huh what

Sydney uni have better Maths and arts departments.

Their arts department is actually like the best, and their Maths is better than UNSW. Soz.
I will concede the Arts thing. But at least UNSW's maths building isn't from 1783.

Also, advanced maffs at USyd doesn't force you into an honours year.
Also, UNSW take too many people into their advanced Maths degrees so they don't have enough spots for honours and will probably not be as welcoming if you aren't one of the very top students, whereas as USyd you can do crap in one subject and as long as you don't fail they won't kick you out straight away.
Actually, you can drop the Advanced Maths before you get to Honours but you'll graduate with Science.

And yes, we took in 100 or so Advanced Maths students last year - that's whittled down to 70 now. By the time we get to 4th year, I expect there'll be around 40 of us - and then I think half of us will elect not to do Honours. 20 is a good number.

Haha! is there srsly a lack of white girls at UNSW?
If you're in the wrong faculty, yes.
