Hi BOSers, I am interested in doing pharmacy and is wondering if I need to sit STAT? What happen if I don't sit the test this year and get the required ATAR? Can I still do pharmacy?

How hard is the test and where can I find practice papers? Thanks for any advice

Yes, you should sit STAT.
There are like 5 times you can sit the STAT per year.

You'll be fine.

But when I get my ATAR back, and apply for uni and I can't sit STAT till April, will they still accept me?

No they won't.

You need to sit STAT before you get your ATAR back.

I recommend doing it before you get your ATAR and when it's closest to where you live.

I have no idea.
STAT is a decent test but compared to other tests like UMAT it is cakewalk.

umm, I'm not sure yet but thinking of going to Brisbane actually Probably UQ

Not sure if this was a mistake or not, but a mate of mine got an ATAR of ~86 and he got offered pharmacy at UQ which had a cutoff of 92 this year. Just thought you might want to know.

Dont think UQ requires STAT, cause he didn't do it and got the offer.
