Hey guys, being a huge kpop fan and listening to kpop only for my whole life, I have always been able to relate to Kpop artists and musicians and their lyrics. Not only so, I really find their lyrical composition and meaning of the songs sooo attractive. But I think it is a real shame that their work has limited availability and exposure in the current world. Its true that they have been lucky enough to have the chance to show sydney and other major western cities in the world like london. But I don't think this is good enough. Kpop deserves way more influence and exposure to the everyday people who are constantly bombarded with american pop music (which i will admit was ok in the past with N-sync and backstreet boys) which really suck now with the autotuning and pure commercialisation. Its a real shame that Kpop still hasn't penetrated most of the US which are polluted with these "music".

Anyways other than Kpop having limited influence in the Us, I wanna point out on some issues why classical music is the ONLY genre that is being taught in most music schools. I don't find this suprising knowing that most music schools like Sydney music school being really conservative and traditional but shouldn't it be a time that they mix some modern music like kpop with it? Studying music from the past might be good for music theories and scales that are reallly essential but isn't the purpose of doing music, learning the history of mozart all in order to relate to the current audience of today??? So whats opinion on it guys? Shouldn't it be a time that we add some lessons on Kpop at most major music schools around the world?

If people like it they'll listen to it and (if they want) get involved in it, no need to force it on anyone, especially while it's not mainstream/widely accepted at all.

Also are you the real mike seo that everyone talks about? (you're pretty famous, everyone thinks your awesome)

Everyone has their own point of view in which music is better then ever simply based on personal preference. I listen to kpop occasionally although in my opinion, I still believe actual music skill is found mainly in classical.

Classical music is timeless and will still be popular long after we're dead, kpop is a fad.

Dude Kpop is pretty much full of that as well lol. In my eyes, Kpop is very similar to the American pop in the 90s (hence why you like BSB and NSync). I wouldn't be surprised if there was a connective influence.

lol

It's kind of like that Heart2Heart group Lance Bass made. A lot of K-pop fans were apoplectic about the song and MV for 'Facebook Official' and how it was a rip off of all the wonders k-pop have brought the world. A lot of fans seem to be ignorant of 90s pop so they were very quick to attack it. I suppose ignorance is bliss.
