but you dont even have to be really black to get the benefits
or to be disadvantaged maybe there are more factors at play
because most coons have majority white ancestors

Expenditure on health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples was estimated at $2,304 million in 2004-05, or 2.8% of total recurrent health expenditure. In per person terms, this equates to $4,718, which is 17% higher than for other Australians ($4,019). The life expectancy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is 11 years lower than for non-Indigenous Australians.

SEVENTEEN WHOLE PERCENT

WHITE GUILT!!!!

yes but how would you prove this to enable a major overhaul of the system so it becomes atleast slightly efficient

example
we have 2 seperate aboriginal corporations in town run by 2 seperate factions within the local aboriginal community who just happen to hate each other people billy bobs uncles cousin called uncle jims sisters wife a farken gubba cunt back in 1967.

anyway they spend all day sitting in their offices playing facebook games i dont think i hacve read about a single outcome produced by either of them in the 4yrs ive been here

hows that for a money pit they employ like 10 people each

i'd say your disparities would show up more clearly in rural communities and aboriginal remote towns.

acknowledging reality =/= guilt

haha, by men in guns? (are they the same ones who force me to be part of society i.e. pay taxes?)

as if they didn't then proceed to exterminate them and treat them as sub human until only a couple of decades ago but hey pretty much everyone in the whole country denies history so whatever

oh noes I can't be a sociopathic extremist "individualist", although you could just go to somalia

oh look it's the 'they get heaps' myth again, poor white boy so disadvantaged
That's as bad as the bible, saying we're all sinned because Adam and Eve ate an apple. I didn't eat that apple, the same why I didn't take anyone's land so why am I paying for it?

what, so you'd be fine with us acknowledging for the next 1000 years that we live on stolen land and have to pay a ridiculously unfair proportion of taxes towards aboriginies? oh how about we recognize the fact most of europe is still on the roman empires ancient land and they should all set up a fund to help out all of those poor italians. why on earth do i have to be born into a society that perpetuates this idea
Well even in a thousand years we should still acknowledge that the Aboriginals were the first people here. But there'd be no reason to pay for more stuff for them if we could actually fix some of the issues they face, lol. At least Italian people don't deny that the Romans did some cruel things to other people...

the romans was probably the worst analogy you could use lol wouldnt it be more appropriate to use the gauls/germanic tribes etc etc

seriously though would it be appropriate to look at the discrepancies between whites and aboriginals whilst ignoring the ones who live in the more remote communities
i dont see how outcomes can be so easily compared when we are looking at such different circumstances/ways of life. im not saying ignore them just that comparing the health outcomes of your average australian with that of someone who lives 400km west of alice springs is a bit stupid. they are never going to have the same outcomes they live off the land in the bush?

the amount of money thrown at small town hospitals with large aboriginal populations, compared with larger regional/metro hospitals is holy shit criminal, especially when the services aren't utilised or can't even be staffed because nobody wants to work in a place where you need to be security escorted to your car morning and night.
