Kebab, it is a lot for year 10 but i have very pushy parents.
Meanwhile, believe me, in that i was with my sister 24/7 when she was studying for HSC (we shared the same room). She studied alot, and i mean 4.5 hours a day (begging of semester), and then around 6-12 going into HSC exams. She had a passion and she got where she wanted.
Fair enough and I genuinely respect that u are so determined, but that just seemed a lot for year 10 to me. Just make sure you don't burn yourself out.
well done though.

lol what on earth did you study in year 10?
No maths at all. Swear to God. Now I regret it big time :L
Science all the time. My science teacher was marks crazy as he was a physics teacher. He'd walk in and ask really challenging questions and if you didn't know the answer he would treat you like the dumbest person in the world. One time I didn't understand some physics question and he played it out physically in slow motion with a pen or something explaining how I would pick the worst answer. Also made us all feel guilty going " you're not just competing against the girls at ccc, you're competing with the likes of Ruse and at this point they're way ahead of you guys"; hence why I studied every night for science alone. Not only this but tbh science is my life, it's my passion :)
And no, my parents never pushed me. They'd be happy if i just went and worked at woolworths lol.

probably trying to understand some concepts in history.
Never studied for history. Easy stuff.

Omg, how did you study that much in Yr 10?

In Yr 10, I did nothing, I didn't even write notes in class for some subjects and my results were stellar lol
In Yr 11, I only did a little and my results were okay.

I did study in Year 10 though it was probably 1 hour a day on weekdays. Ended up getting pretty good marks anyway.

^Same here. Didn't study AT ALL in year 10, and missed out on well over a term of school. Results were still decent.

Will just have to wait and see how I go in Year 11 this year, though I kind of have a feeling that a lack of motivation may bring me down.

I think I did 4 hrs everyday from the second half of year 10 :L Burnt out completely- and that was year 10.
I'm thinking 3hrs is steady atm.
30% on maths; 25% english; 20% chem; 25% physics.
whoops, no room for modern or bio.
It's people like you who make me feel so guilty for doing absolutely zilch for the past four years. :( :( How did you divide those four hours up, may I ask?

Thankyou, Spiral, you are one very timid and helpful robot ;D

I envy people whom can do that but unfortunately I'm not naturally smart for maths/science or anything 'left-brained'. I winged the humanities and english + extension for year.10 and those were my best marks by far.
Ahh the humanities :'( + VA...goodbye.

I remember in year 11, I did 2 hours of eco a week, and that was all my studying. The rest was just assignments and yeah. It's prelim, you'll do fine..

lol, don't feel guilty, I'm a bit obsessive. E.g writing triple lined for a short answer in science haha. Damn markers couldn't take any marks with that! mwhahah.
mm Science, Science, Science and **drumroll**.... Science! :D

you should have picked more humanities since clearly you are much better at them. the only science course you should have taken to get med would have been chem.

Lucky you're so good at science. I'm absolutely miserable at anything that I can't bullshit my way through.

On a completely unrelated note, we have the same ATAR goal! -waves- I was thinking about aiming for that elusive USYD graduate med (sandstone omg ./gasm), but you're the first person I've met who actually wants to do it.

scaling scared me. I really shouldn't be doing any maths and no physics. But 2U is assumed knowledge. 3rd unit is just there to actually make me study maths because there's 3 units. Generally I would leave it till last but ya know if its filling my timetable it'll make me study. Physics is there just for the fun of it and the guys ;)
