Mate, I got this straight out of BOS online multiple choice section.. :p
He's talking about the question I gave about inequalities. There's definately a good chance a similar question to the one you posted will come up.

What are relative frequencies? And how do you work them out? thanks!

Relative Frequency = Frequency of ONE score (or as specificed by the question)/ Total Frequency of all scores
EXAMPLE:
1 1 1 1 2 2 4 5 6 6 6
Relative Frequency of 1 = 4/11

Just plug in a number between -4 and -1, if it suits the equation, then it is -4 < x < -1

If it doesn't suit the equation it has to be x < -4 and x > -1

So say x=-2, then -2^2 - 10 + 4 > 0

Which says 4-10+4 > 0, then -2 > 0

So it's false and x must be less than -4 but also can be greater than -1.
Ah thankyou! Yeah.. never had to do that sort of question before.

If a and b are consecutive even integers that multiply to give 224. Write an equation to solve the values of a and b
let a = y
therefore b = y + 2
therefore y(y+2) = 224 (solve quadratic to find value of y)

answer is a=14, b =16.

Will there be any sketching of lines, parabolas, hyperbolas, cubics or circles on Tuesday ?

lol no chance, at most you'd be asked to sketch y=x or something. Even then I doubt they'd ask you to sketch a graph of some sort.

If a, b, and c are different positive integers, what is a possible value for c when (ab)^2=abc

a) 1
b) 5
c) 9
d) 12

Working out as well

Interesting method, I went down the same Path as lath for this one although it seems your method is also correct. Well done.

Abc=(ab)^2
(ab)(ab)=abc
:. C=ab
:.C=9 because it has to be a squared number as the result.

Everything is right except the last step. "because it has to be a squared number as a result", re-read the question and you should realise why it's wrong.
