Re: Not hard?

10 is actually C.
I think 13 was A, though it was a weird question (pirate does that mean illegal or a different culture?)
14 was D not C. If it was full-time she would be working more than 20 hours a week.
15 was A
16 was B
17 was D, the ASX does the buying/selling of shares
rest look good.
i think 13 is C

Common law

Employers

-Pay wages

-Take care of employees

-provide work

Employees

-Obey commands that are reasonable

-Provide faithful service and maintain confidentiality

-Disclose relevant information

-work in competent manner

What was the question again??

Re: Not hard?

I'm fair sure Q18 was B) FWA since C) Workplace relations act is no longer valid.

Re: Not hard?

Q18. The syllabus clearly states that common law = rights and responsibilities of employees and employers and so it should be that :S

People are debating whether it is Common law or Fair Work Act, not Workplace Relations Act.

Just a suggestion...Fair Work Act might be a specific aspect of common law? I know it is technically statute law, but it can be practiced in court rooms. Maybe it was just to confuse us by providing us with similar answers.

Re: Not hard?

FWA is more for the wage determination and unfair dismissal claims than anything else. Syllabus states that common law is the responsibilities of employers and thus i'm still convinced the answer for Q18 was common law....

Re: General Thoughts: Business Studies

what was the answer again?
The choices were
a- it provides loans to small businesses
b- provides insurance for farmers
c- facilitates the buying and selling of shares
d- oversees the stability of the financial system
I chose d.

Re: General Thoughts: Business Studies

Ok, for question 19 about the cash flow, did anybody do profitability?
Seeing as cash flow only records inflows and outflows of cash as they come or leave the business i thought it was profitability.
However, everyone seems to be saying it was liquidity.
Somebody clarify?
