Most of the kids at Ruse get 99+ so out of honesty, I really don't care if they kick students out apart from the fact that it works...or Baulko is in reality not on par with Ruse.

I don't really understand this comment. No one was complaining that Ruse doesn't allow everyone to do certain subjects/kicks out poor performing students(not sure if this is true). Of course Baulko is not on par with Ruse... no one ever said we were. Its hard to compete with a school that takes the best from year 6 and then poaches the best from the top selective schools in years 8-11. They've got producing children with high ATAR's down to an exact science.

We never pressure ourselves to come first in the state, but we help each other to make a combined effort. shut the fuk up we all no all u ruse kids do is study 24/7. two skools which i absolutely hate are hornsby girls and james ruse.


NOTE: the BOS user XVIP3R is cool. i hav posted numerous difficult mx2 questions in past and he has answered all of them so i no hes actually smart and doesnt rote learn like other Ruse kids.

I reakon this is true. I would be willing to bet that most Ruse students who get 99+ dont study as ridiculously hard as people make out.

i agree theres sum amazingly smart ppl from Ruse, i hav met a few of them. a few of them would hav got into ruse on natural talent.
but most got in by studying their ass off in years 5 and 6 and once they got in, they would have had to study even more just to keep up. the school atmosphere makes it inevitable that they have to study all the time.

I know two people who do my course who went to James Ruse. Laid back people, actually. Kinda weird at first - considering they browse the internet in lectures or don't even show up and yeah... still getting used to that.

Ah, I really hate those stereotypes. Not everyone who is SMART studies their ass off all day. Most of the kids at Ruse are what you'd call 'naturally smart' (excluding the select few that actually do study their asses off). And for the record, a lot of Ruse kids don't do too well.
I bet you're just jealous- (couldn't make it into a good school eh? ).

I am at a very gud skool where they teach us to be gud all round not just academically. ur skool just turns ppl into introverts and that is why most ruse kids fail their med interviews bcuz they are shit ppl irl.

You generalise people so uncontrollably, need to step back and think about this. A fair proportion do NOT choose to go to a school such as Ruse, and are only selected because they were seen to rise academically above the others put up for selection.

What is to say they don't want an all-round life of sport, academics and socialisation? Everyone in this life is here to get out of it what they can, and if that means working hard for what they have, who are you to judge and generalise? Ruse is just a title, the people who come out are just like you and me.

one of our family friends went to ruse. and he studied for 12 hours a day on weekends, up until 4 am every weeknight, studied during the holidays as well for 10 hours a day. i asked him why he did so much and he said he had no choice bcuz the school makes u into that sort of a person.

and he spent 80% of that study time on maffs, the subject that supposedly got him into ruse. so dont give me this bullshit about ruse kids being naturally smart.
