Holiday study/revision methods? (1 Viewer)

Greetings, I've got 3 weeks holidays starting tomorrow and i really need to use this time for constant study and revision. I've been trying to work out what i should be doing/working towards each day. Here's what i have come up with so far, please give us a few pointers.

General Maths:

• Work through all of preliminary textbook
• 2 Preliminary past papers
• Work through whole HSC textbook
• 5 trial past papers

Business Studies:

• Notes on all topics, with case studies throughout
• 8 Business plans
• 5 Essay responses
• 5 Trial past paper questions

Studies of Religion 1:

• Notes on all topics
• 8 Past Papers

Modern History:

• Notes on all topics
• 8 Trial past Papers
• Essays on main topic dot points

Ancient History:

• Notes on all topics
• 8 Trial past papers
• Essays on main topic dot points

English Standard:

• Notes on all Modules/AOS
• Belonging narrative
• 8 Trial past papers

Make goals of what you're planning to study every day. Or even split it up into certain weeks. Give yourself deadlines to finish certain things. Also, make sure your goals are actually achievable - there's nothing more discouraging than working towards something you can never reach. Reward yourself when you get to those goals.

As well as the short term goals, it's probably good to have an ultimate goal. So, say you have your first level goals of "I want to finish x amount of past papers in a week" then you have another goal, showing the bigger picture and giving you some overall motivation like "I want to get a y+ ATAR."

But yeah, the best of luck with that!

But on saturday and sunday I won't study until midnight. I will burn out if I study like that for 7 days

Nah, you wont burn out provided you have a break every 2 hours for like 30 min or what not, you could go 8-12 hours a day

I went like 40 hours in 2 days while studying for my accounting exam about 2 weeks ago, it's doable

Past papers is the best way to make sure you'll do well and know the content right, also it can help expand your knowledge with the different variety of questions.

I myself never did past papers for english, sounds like a waste of time.

You're a dickhead.
The best way to study maths or any subject is with past papers.

My advice at this time would be that if you haven't done all notes for your subjects apart from the last one or two topics, dowload notes from the resources section, learn them and then do past papers to get all of your answering skills down.

Thats Nothing!, I'm hooked on my tea drinking 5 cups a day, sleeping like 5am everyday, 1 1/2 hrs of sleep and only 2 hrs of sleep when i finish my exam.
Trust me its hell, i advise u guys not to do this at all!

I wake up at 1-2pm so that I get around 10 hrs of sleep. lol There is no such thing called morning for me

I didnt do standard, but I WOULDNT use an advanced prescribed text as a standard related text

Never -ever- use a prescribed text, whether that be current (09 onwards) or former (from 01-08) syllabi. It shows a lack of imagination, and also, teachers do look down upon them, purely because there's a superfluous amount of notes on said related text (if it were prescribed) on the internet.
