Out of all the option topics in Physics and Chemistry, which topics scale the highest - lowest?

Also, which topic is the most fun/best topic to do?

Thanks is advance

Well we don't hav the option to choose our topics (kind of do for physics but teacher is reluctant) and for Chen we do industrial. I am pretty sure the scaling depends on how many people and doing the option and how well they do. I don't know which one is the best option but astrophysics sounds pretty dialed.

I'm am almost certain they do. Or else the teacher would choose the easiest topic.

Maybe I am confusing aligning and scaling

Yeah it does scale because you're competing with those who do the same topic.

Choose industrial as most schools do it and it's easy to get high if you're going against the big census.

If you choose a topic that James ruse, Sydney grammar, Sydney boys, etc. then it is looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool you're going against the top in the state

Does anyone know what baulko, ruse, and Sydney girls etc do for chem and physics? I am sure that not alot of people have the freedom to pick their option.

Who on here actually has the option to vote for another topic? In class the teacher asked us to vote for either Astrophysics or Quanta and everyone was WTF is either of them and the teacher was like never mind, I'll teach you what ever I feel like.

That can actually help you though.

Say all the tops schools do Quanta to Quarks.

In the core section say the students from the top schools average 80%, in the option they average 60% -- that 60% will effectively be 80% =)

So yeah, could help =)

in chem - i think they all do industrial.

Still, no one has any idea about options scaling?....pretty sure they have to, their just like individual subjects

SGHS - Industrial Chem
I think a friend told me you could choose whatever module you wanted for Physics at Ruse.

also, baulko do chemistry of art for their option, which is an interesting choice
maybe they want a smaller percentage of the cohert doing it so they end up looking really smart

I know this year Baulko are doing Chemistry of Art and Astrophysics, Im pretty sure they do the same each year.
Last time I taught a Year 12 JRAHS student, they did Q2Q and Industrial Chem. Im pretty sure they do the same each year also.

But Ruse does Industrial Chem =O We have a dilemma.

For Physics, we did Quanta to Quarks (these topics are chosen for us and taught at school)

Doesn't matter, most schools do Industrial chem and Quantas to Quarks. Not many people get a band 6 in Physics because they don't take the time to study it.

It requires more study than people think. Hope I get a band 6...

Say if I got:

Band 6 in Phy, Chem and 2 unit... and not for any other subjects. what are the chances of me getting an atar of 95 or over

James, you'd most likely get 95ish as long as you don't stuff up your other 4 units...

hmm, someone said due to majority of people doing q2q and industrial chem they set really hard questions to differentiate between the candidature

Options do scale. Industrial Chemistry is the most commonly chosen for chemistry and it does actually scale up I believe. In Physics, I'm not quite sure but I know the Medical Physics scales up a little.
