Long time no thread.

I need a job, prefer to be in some kind of retail. I kind of have a job already - playing tennis. People pay me $25 an hour to play against them...but only between 3-5 in the afternoons.

I used to play tennis all day, from 8-2, but i stopped. Now i'm bored at home, so I figure a job would be good...( plus pressure from folk's)

What do you think my chances are, ect. Or any advice?

Advice is to print copies of your resume and hand them out to lots of different shops you'd want to work at.
Also sometimes friends etc may know some vacancies at their work or somewhere else so ask around.

I'd be happy with woolies, coles.

To be honest, any sort of job retail or cashier wise.

my responses usually involve either "Thank you, we are now assessing your application =]" [and i never hear from them again] or "Sorry, you did not fit our criteria :("

'Ethnic names' struggle in job search

New research by the Australian National University shows job applicants with 'ethnic' names find it tougher to get an interview than those with Anglo-Saxon names.
