I know where you are coming from but i think only some people on it are vain.

Its only good because you can meet hot girls. I mean some girls practically take pictures in their underwear. The other good purpose is to keep up with friends you don't see often. The other one is that its really easy to upload pictures

i go onto myspace at least once a day, facebook once ever second day [or when ever i get wallposts-- notified by email normally]. and i rarely ever use bebo because it just seems like a paedophiles playground and the general layout etc is abhorrent.

i dont really love my picture comments, i prefer taking photographs in say the garage in opposition to semipornographicwhoreshotsinthebathroom, but they are nice sometimes. i can see why kids like them though, "omG!! u R lYk soOoo b3@utiFuL. MUCH!" etc. it fills them c/a false sense of security, & can do wonders for their confidence!!

but its the comment comments where the real fun begins!!
coz the more comments you get
the cooler you are
and who cares about all that "dont talk to strangers on the internet!" crap

it doesnt matter if "barbara" who is "13" is actually "cletus" the 63 year old austrian from down the end of the street breeding his family secretly in his basement.
because adding more people also makes you cooler

None of them. A friend wanted to set up Bebo for me once. It lasted like 2-3 months, then I deleted it.

bebo is a stupid site. also fb > myspace but social networking in general is only good if you want to keep in touch with friends and stuff. not for picture comments to boost self esteem / attract pedos.

i use facebook lots caz i moved a couple of years ago, so it means i can keep in contact with friends pretty easily... also it's a quick way to share photos with people you were out with so you all have the memories

Myspace used to be cool but now its crap. You know it goes too far when people start talking about it at school/in actual conversation.

As for pic comments...argh, I hate them. I hate giving them (unless theyre actually sincere/getting a message across) and I hate receiving them (cause people expect you to return them..tenfold!). I hate pictures of half-naked people who then say "Don't call me a slut cause I aint one". Ah, hellooo. Plus, picture comments that are repetitively boring (eg "nice pic" or "cool") sure doesn't do anything for me besides annoy me.
