General question.

I currently live with my boyfriend... who lives with his parents. And I'm wondering what the general consensus here is on when to move out. You know. Out of curiousity. It's just a product of uh... thinking... and plotting.

If you already have, just vote for the one closest to when you did.

:)

When I have a car to my name where I am able to afford it's annual insurance, a decent amount of money saved up, about $10,000, and more than enough money to pay the rent whilst I work full time to save for a house that is decently close to a sub-major train station within walking distance where upon I continue to save indefinately.

Until then I'm taking advantage of living at home away from home in my garage ( granny flat ).

Haha are you like pushing him to move out? TBH since you're both together you could probably move out now and rent a place fairly easily.

Moved out.

It's awesome.

edit: AND my rents are completely rad - not like super strict or anything. It's just good to be independent and free.

When I have enough cash... so I finish uni next year and will need at least a couple years of working after that. I have a pretty good deal here at the moment, and in a couple years my dad will have retired and my parents will never be here so there will be no reason for me to be in a hurry to leave.

When I finish uni and obtain a full time job (should happen around the same time)

EDIT: coz that job will most likely be in Bourke or somewhere equally ridiculous :D

my bf lives with me & my mum...its pretty good, but i think he's still getting used to living with a family again - he's been out of home since he was 17.
he's got a job lined up in syd to start in dec..i'll probably stay here for a few extra months to get more moolah & then move up with him.

I voted after highschool, cos whilst I already moved out the cops got involved and decided I either live in a temp. group housing situaion, or go home. So I did. But def. when I finish the HSC and land a job.

Realisticaly, after uni. If I can manage it I'd like to move into a share house or something with mates before that though.

I know, fuck. But he refuses to move out with me until I cook like his mum.

i would have moved out by now if i had the moolah. not because i hate my family or anything, just coz i live in Sticksville-McFail-Town and would like to live a little closer to uni (i mean, i don't mind the actual travel time. it just gets a bit draining to do it every day).

so yeah, as soon as i have the means, i'm outta here. i was planning to have moved out by next year but its not looking that promising atm.

im all for moving out. Although I am not keen on the idea of cooking my own food and paying my way totally. i want to move somewhere bigger than where I live but that will involve too far away from my ma so Im debating whether to just bored with the old girl till im married lol. When i move out its only a matter of time before I need a Granny flat out the back for mum anyway.
